Code Compliance

The mission of Code Compliance is to be proactive and responsive to the needs of the citizens of Midland while obtaining compliance with the city's codes and ordinances. These Ordinances are intended to improve the quality of life by ensuring a cleaner, safer and more attractive community. Compliance with these ordinances also can help reduce vandalism, deter crime and maintain property values.

Report a code violation by calling 432-685-7410 or completing our online form. You will be asked to include the address of the violation, what the violations is, and provide a contact number.

Yes, vehicles should not be parked on an unpaved surface.

Yes, Code Compliance will remove graffiti (at no cost to the property owner) with the submission of a Graffiti Abatement and Indemnity Agreement. The form can be obtained at the Code Compliance Office on the 4th floor, suite 430, at City Hall (300 N. Loraine).

A vehicle is considered inoperable if it does not display current registration and inspection stickers, has flat tires and/or is wrecked or damaged (must be street legal).

The property owner/tenant is responsible for maintaining all property bounded by the owner's property lines, the center of the alley and the back of the existing/proposed curb

The current outdoor watering schedule allows residents and businesses in the City of Midland to water twice per week. Even numbered addresses may water outdoors on Saturdays and Wednesdays. Odd numbered addresses may water outdoors on Fridays and Tuesdays. Any violation may result in a fine up to $500.
